Hand-forged Damascus knife set with 68 layers. Limited edition. I bought this knife set as B-stock. Who knows, they are B-stock with slight defects. But I have to say that there were almost no visual defects, so it was a bargain.

The four knives are very sharp and fit well in the hand. The damask look comes into its own beautifully. The handle is very beautiful with an acyl abalone shell look. The clear acrylic handle makes the shell effect look 3-dimensional. I am very satisfied with this knife set. For the amount of money I paid for B-stock I can't complain, it was really a bargain!!

I would buy this handmade damask knife set again. I would also like to add that once you have bought a real damask knife set, you only want to work with a handmade knife. More fun than industrial knives!!

I was very skeptical. Never heard of the brand, the prices are like those on countless websites that just rip you off. After a short research, I found that this was a reputable site. Ordered, still skeptical... for the price...?! The package arrived 2 days later, okay, but are the knives really good now? YES..! They are absolutely outstanding..! As a fisherman, I've used a few knives and I'm often at the grill. I have an expensive damask knife from another brand and I have to say: These knives are really incredibly good! Can't say anything negative because I haven't seen the goods either. Everything went pretty quickly until I suddenly got an email from DHL saying that I should pick up my package somewhere in Nuremberg. Without notice, without the obligatory note from DHL that I wasn't at home, I was simply supposed to get my package myself. Of course I won't do that. DHL should employ more people who speak German. You can hardly talk to most of them and they certainly don't know how to announce things. What can I say? Service desert Germany. “Customer is king” was yesterday. Today you are just a “paymaster”. My criticism is only directed at DHL. Online shop Küchenkompane has great offers and that was also the reason why I ordered the goods. It's a shame I didn't get to see the goods.

I would gladly review it if I had received it. The message saying it was ready for collection at the branch turned out today to be false. The delivery process was as follows: 1. The parcel could not be delivered, even though the garage is registered as a drop-off location and has been used several times. I immediately requested a second delivery for Saturday, 21 October, but once again nothing happened on Saturday. When I first received the knife, I was very impressed because of the great look, but unfortunately not so much when it came to cutting various vegetables and meat (compared to my 14 year old Kai Shun Damascus knives).

I then informed Küchenkompane about this in the hope that they would sharpen the knife again if necessary.

Very nice and very good knives.

They look very classy and have proven themselves flawlessly in practice so far. The knife block also looks very elegant. However, the troughs are of different widths, so that the small knives tend to fall out of the knife block. You should know and pay attention to this information beforehand! Unfortunately, this happened to us when we were transporting the fully packed knife block from the living room to the kitchen and the tip of the small Petty knife was bent. The tip broke off when we were straightening it. Service from Küchenkompane was briefly contacted, everything was described honestly and after a short response via email and after about 2-3 days of waiting, a new knife was sent to us as a gesture of goodwill. Many thanks again to the Küchenkompane team. Top service and clear recommendation!

I'm actually quite skeptical about statements like "100% satisfied or money back".

But this saying really holds true here.

Whatever the reason, I had problems with the sharpness of the first set of knives I bought, out of at least four of these knives.

After asking and explaining my problem, Mr. Becker not only sent me detailed instructions on how to use and care for these knives and, since I cannot prepare food with money, he also sent me a complete new set of knives.

Not that I didn't already know how to use and care for it, but I'm extremely impressed with the friendly service here.

By the way, these new knives cut as promised and hopefully keep their sharpness for a long time.

I can finally clean out my kitchen drawers from lots of useless, constantly blunt knives.

Cooking is much more fun.

A solid knife set with an attractive look

I've been using the knives for a week now and overall I'm very satisfied. The multi-layered pattern looks beautiful, but upon closer inspection appears to have been lasered. However, at a price of €120, you can't expect a real, forged Damascus knife. Visually, it still looks quite impressive.

I'm a bit skeptical about the hardness. The 7Cr17 steel used is stated to have a hardness of 60 ±2 HRC, although 56-58 HRC is more common for this steel. I can't tell whether a different steel was used for the cutting edge. Time will tell...

The blades are consistently very sharp. Not razor sharp, but definitely sharp enough for everyday use in the kitchen. The weight of the knives is also pleasant and the handles fit well in the hand.

Overall a strong set for the price!

I would like to update my original (bad) review. First of all, the customer service is incredible! Unfortunately, 2/3 of the knives in my set were not sharp. So bad that they couldn't cut a tomato and so I wrote a review. I immediately received an email offering a replacement. This was with me within 2 working days. The emails were all very friendly and customer- and solution-oriented. The new set was much better, so much so that I cut my finger badly (my mistake for testing the knife with my finger and a good sign for me that this set is as described). I chose red instead of wood, and the knives look really nice. With such top customer service, this was an absolutely risk-free order and I would like to say thank you again!

I gave my daughter the entire Asia set with magnetic knife holder for last Christmas. She described 4 knives as “absolutely awesome”. The “boyfriend” likes the cleaver best. I haven't had to do this yet to this day. Maybe they also scratch around on the knife with the sharpener. That's not nice. Especially since I like to do the occasional rum tasting with my future son-in-law in the cellar while sharpening. :-)

Shipment arrived before the announced date. Knife of very high quality in a flat box, individually packed in a transparent plastic case with a small tip protector. Knives are very balanced in the hand and you have to be very careful not to cut yourself when using them. Finally knives that correspond exactly to the advertising. We took the offer with the vertical magnetic knife holder. Here too, a very high-quality version. Assembly (2 parts) is very quick and easy with 3 screws and the included screwdriver. Click on the knife according to size on the vertical wooden part. Looks great and is now a new highlight in our kitchen. Because the open knife holder is permanently on the worktop, the knives are in constant use. Knife with magnetic knife holder is highly recommended. We don't want to miss these anymore.

I ordered a set of knives and am very happy with how they handle, but unfortunately they are not as sharp as promised. That is not a problem because I am a metalworker and can sharpen knives myself. My second order was for two magnetic knife-block holders, which I am also happy with. I do have one comment: I find your advertising somewhat aggressive. If I want to redeem a discount, I will do so; I do not need to be reminded every other day that I have not yet used it. Also, I do not need more than one knife set, so why keep reminding people that you currently have special offers?

Nevertheless, I am very satisfied with your products and can only recommend them.

Asian knife set and knife sharpener

I ordered the Asian knife set and the knife sharpener. Both arrived quickly and well packaged.

The knives fit well in the hand and are nice and sharp. I tried them all briefly, potatoes cut like butter - if it stays that way: great!

I'm not that happy with the knife sharpener (yet?). Two knives that were no longer as sharp and that were once of good quality are now sharper than before, but really sharp is different. But it could also be me, I'll still practice. I don't have any experience with this type of grinder yet.

The customer service is also good. Without! I had a friendly employee on the phone while I was on hold when I wanted to ask after a number of failed order attempts whether the problem was yours, which it wasn't.

I ordered a mystery box of 3 and am very satisfied with the OKAMI Do - Chai Dao chef's knife & the OKAMI Rei - Santoku. I like the classic, no-frills look and both are very sharp.

The third knife, the Asian Santoku 7", I highly doubt that it is a real damask knife.

The damask look looks like it is printed (see pictures) and it is less sharp than the first two mentioned.

At the price of €99 in total, I'm still satisfied.

Instead of the Asian Santoku 7", which is very similar in shape to the OKAMI Rei - Santoku, I would have been very happy about a different knife shape, but it's just a mystery box.

(at least until the order confirmation/invoice, on which the knives are named and the mystery is solved)

Hello, everyone 🌞 I am not being paid for this post! I love these knives! I have bought several knife sets before and was always disappointed. At this low price, I thought I could try buying a set once more. I also really liked the selection of different knives. There is genuinely something for every situation in the kitchen. Then came the second cut: wow! So precise, so sharp—a dream! I recommend either buying the block as well or installing a magnetic rail. I can also warmly recommend the knife sharpener. I ran my old kitchen knives through it—words fail me. Super sharp! For the few euros they cost, this is clearly the best knife set I could find. Chopping in the kitchen is fun again! 😁😉👍

The delivery came the very next day after I ordered. Unfortunately the knife block was damaged and there were no screws with a screwdriver included. We immediately complained about the knife block by phone. A very friendly lady recorded everything and passed it on. We took photos of the defective areas and sent them on immediately if requested. Immediately afterwards we received a call from an equally friendly employee from the complaints department who told us that he would immediately send us a new, complete knife block. This was done and we received the complete shipment the following day. Now he is standing in my kitchen with the very sharp knives. Everything looks great and we hope we can enjoy it for a long time.

When the knife arrived, I was amazed at the speed of delivery! (6 days). I opened the package with great anticipation and what I saw really pleased me - a super nice knife, well balanced and really sharp! I immediately tried it with tomatoes. First impression when unpacking...positive. The knives are delivered in an attractive, sturdy box. The tips are secured separately with rubber...exemplary.

The first sight is also very nice and not pictures "hui" goods "ugh".

The knives all fit very well in the hand (my hands) and are easy to handle.

The products are really sharp when delivered (all passed the test) and retain their sharpness well.

I immediately made a knife block so that I could store them safely and quickly

These are the best knives I have ever held in my hands and believe me, the knives here are actually that sharp. I wasn't paying attention when unpacking and poked myself a bit. Then this review came to mind:

"Please stop ordering these knives! I have to deliver these knives every damn day. Every sharp curve, every red light, even every end of a traffic jam is absolutely life-threatening for me! As soon as I brake even a little roughly, the knives cut themselves out of the boxes in my truck bed and literally pierce my entire post bus. Just yesterday at the zebra crossing, one of these hellish blades cut the poor grandma in front of me in half. Luckily, that I'm still alive, it's a shame about grandma."

I'm incredibly excited! The knives not only look very elegant, but are incredibly sharp and fit perfectly in the hand! I tried them straight away and cut carrots, which I could already cut relatively well with my old knives, but with these knives I was able to cut a carrot that was as thick as a cucumber into thin slices with just a little pressure. Just like the broccoli! My partner cut the bread and was very excited because he needed almost no pressure to cut a hard-edged bread into thin slices. As my partner pointed out, “It goes through like butter!” We both love it so much that even my partner wants to cook! 😂

I gave the knife to my dad for Christmas in 2023 and he is so excited! He had been looking for a high-quality knife for a long time and had also spent a lot of money on other brands, but was disappointed with them after 2 months at the latest.

I came across this offer while looking for new sharp knives. At first I was really skeptical because it all sounded a bit too good, and then there was this big discount. In the meantime I am very glad that my concerns were not listened to.

The communication from the moment the order was placed was really exemplary. Care instructions and tips for the correct use and care of the knives were included without being asked.

The knives arrived after a few days and were really nice to look at and really sharp too! If they stay in this condition for a long time I will be completely satisfied.

Luxury knife block

The handmade knife block is beautifully made and has a magnet inside. The block stands on a metal base. You can attach 4 knives on each side. But you have to make sure that the handles remain free. I chose this knife block because of the look and for the proper storage of my two rustic knives. Overall it's a nice knife block. But must emphasize that it will be difficult to fit 8 knives because the handles on both sides can get in the way. I recommend only using the block to use 4 or 5 knives on one side depending on the size of the knives. Overall, I am very satisfied with the knife block. Would buy again.

I have to admit one thing: I was very skeptical when I ordered the knife set, I wasn't sure whether it was a good idea, but my skepticism completely disappeared, starting with the ordering process, through the fast delivery, the very attractive storage box and of course the excellent knives, these are simply wonderful, very visually appealing, very sharp and they fit perfectly in the hand, buying this knife set was a very good idea

Well, not to be seen in action. I was completely unsure whether I would be able to handle such a knife at all, which is why I chose the inexpensive version...

So, the knife sits very well in the hand and is very easy to "balance", i.e. the cutting edge and handle are very well balanced.

“Chopping” the vegetables is now even more fun because they are also “rat-sharp”. (The first time a fingernail had to suffer a bit haha).

Where I still have a bit of trouble is that the blade doesn't seem high enough to me because I can only cut on the edge of the board, otherwise I'll get my fingers on the board. However, the complaining is at a high level.

Otherwise highly recommended!

The knives are super sharp. Because I'm not used to that, I cut my fingers straight away. From vegetables, onions to meat, one light cut and everything falls apart like butter.

We have now ordered a second identical knife set as a Christmas gift because the quality is genuinely good and the set looks beautiful. My only complaint is that the manufacturer has configured the wooden knife stand incorrectly. The base of the knife holder cannot be tightened properly. The screws are too long for the recessed threaded sleeves because the screw-head recess is too deep. However, using two washers per screw makes the stand stable. It is not much work and is something any DIY enthusiast can do. I am still giving it five stars because the knives are excellent, the knife stand is very high-quality, and the knives adhere securely to the magnetic board. Nothing falls off. I would gladly buy again. 😉👍🏻

So what can I say… I'm really happy with everything! I got the set for my birthday and use it every day, especially the large Santoku knife. As a hotel management trainee, I didn't have any problems in the kitchen. Due to the constant use of the knife and the "hectic" situation in the kitchen here and there, I unfortunately broke the handle, but I was helped very quickly by the kitchen company team, without much back and forth. Therefore it is an absolute recommendation from me. Not just the quality of the knives, but also the customer service. The delivery was quick, the knives make a very good first impression. They are sharp and the handle fits well in the hand. Compared to our Zwilling knives they are lighter, let's see if they can handle pumpkin further down the line. Onions, vegetables, meat, tomatoes have all been great so far.

As always, you have to get used to the cutting technique a little bit, but that happens quickly.

We bought the set for our daughter when she moves out, I think the set was the right choice, so she has all the important knives together.

Of course, I can't say anything about durability yet; a sander will still have to be purchased.

However... The wooden strips are unique and did not have the same thickness (depth). No problem either. What doesn't fit will be made to fit.

Very nice wood, there are 2 magnetic strips invisibly integrated into the wood. The magnets are strong enough to hang knives on both sides. Fast delivery. As another customer complained, it would be perfect if the knives were perhaps offered in a storage container. In my case no problem because I have it on a knife block. But this has no influence on the quality of the knives. They look good, are perfectly balanced, fit well in the hand and are extremely sharp. These knives cut wonderfully, I've been using them in the professional kitchen for two weeks and the sharpness remains very consistent if you sharpen it every now and then with a 3000 grit (3 times in the 2 weeks).

However, these knives become a bit heavy over time, when you cut quickly and for long periods you can feel it in your hand compared to a Kai Shun... but it is manageable because these knives are much cheaper in price than comparable knives from other manufacturers!

There is nothing wrong with the knives. They are sharp, feel good in the hand and look good too. They were also very cheap. That's why 5 stars.

But I had a problem with the "assembly" of the block. Actually there are only 3 screws to screw in, but I still swore like a pig. The head of the screws broke every time I screwed it in. But it's not because of the screws (I also "twisted" several of my own screws) but rather because the pre-drilled holes were too small.

We have used the knives every day for over two years, and they are holding up very well. To compare the two knives: we use the one on the left daily, while we use the one on the right very rarely. Even after two years, you can hardly see any difference in the color of the handles.

You need to know that it is not a full-Damascus knife; rather, the Damascus is laminated onto it. You can see this on the spine and the cutting edge, where a straight dividing line is visible.

I have not used all the knives yet, but I have never had kitchen "tools" that were as sharp as these. I cannot judge whether all of this is normally really worth more than €900. As a pensioner living in old-age poverty, I would never have bought it for that amount. In any case, for the price I paid, I am completely satisfied with the goods, and all my fingers are still intact too :-).

I tested all the knives immediately. Unfortunately, one was not quite as sharp as the others... I submitted a small complaint including a video as proof... The Küchenkompane team sent me a new knife without any fuss, and it is just as exceptionally sharp as the others. Her knife block is a little smaller and fits the eight knives. My set included the larger one—I had to make room for it. If I had seen it sooner, I might have chosen the smaller one. But everything is great!

Super stylish; everyone notices it immediately. A small defect was resolved immediately, courteously, and quickly. Good product, excellent customer service. The grain of the Damascus steel is not as clearly visible as in the pictures on the website. I was given a friendly explanation of how to make the grain more visible using simple means. The PAKKA handles provide a good grip and are beautiful. All in all, good value for money has been achieved here.

I bought the magnetic strip and the Asian chef knife and am very satisfied so far. The magnetic strip looks very attractive with its wood appearance, and the knives stay in place. I do not expect anything more. The chef knife cuts very well. But it is also a brand-new knife. Super-fast delivery. The Pro knife sharpener is really good once you have figured out which stage is for what and how to pull the knife through. There are three stages (coarse, fine, and finishing), but there are no real instructions. You are not a professional and do not want to grind your knives down and ruin them. Once you have figured it out, the knives are super sharp afterward. Absolutely recommended.

Very beautiful board, good weight and workmanship. But the chemical smell is a disaster. I first soaked it and aired it outside for three weeks. I was afraid the smell would also transfer to the food. It is slowly fading, but at this price? (The kitchen still smells of it.) It seems to me as though the board were made of plastic, which I would find really unfortunate!

The Damascus blades are super sharp and really go through things like butter. There is just something special about having knives like these hanging in the kitchen. Unfortunately, the handles on some knives are not secure, so the blades have some play.

The large rectangular knife already has a cut in it; all the knives have been used properly and have not been in the dishwasher. They were a Christmas gift for my partner, which makes this all the more disappointing.

I constantly need smaller knives in the kitchen to chop cooking ingredients. What matters to me is that the blade is not too thick and, of course, that it is sharp. Both are true of these knives. They are razor-sharp and glide through onions, for example, like butter. You can cut the finest little cubes with them and also quickly cut up meat without changing knives. Wonderful.

An absolutely perfect (awesome) knife, as sharp as a new razor blade, and it looks “stunning.”

Unfortunately, you did not quite get the handle on mine the way I expected (epoxy instead of wood!), but it still looks very good (a little “colorful” for my taste, but what can you do—the main thing is the blade, and it does you proud!).

It arrived well packaged. At 200 grams, it feels great in the hand. Unfortunately, the sharpness left something to be desired. After I sharpened it properly, it practically falls through the food being cut. While sharpening, I also noticed how little grinding dust was produced, which in turn speaks to the hardness of the cutting layer. I am really happy with the knife.

A point is deducted for the factory edge.

This is already the second knife set I have ordered. I am extremely satisfied with the quality and durability, and the price is incredibly low. However, I once dropped a knife from the first set onto the tiled kitchen floor; unfortunately, the epoxy-resin handle did not survive and broke. The excellently made Kiiro Nakiri Damascus knife feels good in the hand and does an excellent job cutting vegetables and herbs. Because the blade curves toward the tip, you can use a rocking cut as well as the otherwise customary chopping motion. With my 15-degree diamond sharpener, it naturally stays wonderfully sharp. The Kiiro Nakiri Damascus knife is currently my favorite knife in our kitchen.

It will be a Christmas present for my boyfriend, although I have already looked inside... and wow, it is packaged so, so beautifully, and the knives also look great. I cannot say anything about their sharpness yet, but at this price I am sure I will not be disappointed! The knife is hand-forged and very sharp. The rustic appearance is very appealing and beautiful. It is suitable for cutting small onions, shallots, or garlic. The knife is also suitable for medium-sized foods. The curved tip is good for cutting with an up-and-down motion. A must in the kitchen for every cook. I recommend this knife.

This was a gift for my wife. Comment nope. I don't believe that now. But opened it straight away and wow. Very nicely packaged, small tes with all of them, oh dear, they are spicy. A knife block is very practical. Until now I didn't think much of it because I told myself that knives belong safely stored in a drawer and not obviously placed in a kitchen. However, high-quality knives should be stored individually and never stacked in a drawer. So I decided on this square, elegant knife block, which, as you can see, also fits optically into my kitchen unit.

I have the 8 piece knife set with red epoxy resin handles.

There are two things I particularly like, homemade bread and good knives. The bread knife is in use in the picture. I can only recommend buying the knife set. The knives fit well in the hand and are very sharp. They are used every day because I enjoy cooking and preparing food for the whole family.

The specified Rockwell hardness suggests that the blades have a long cutting ability. Only chopping bones etc. should be avoided, there are hatchets or saws for that.

The knife sharpener is robust and serves its purpose. The sharpener has 3 functions.

1. Fine: Fine grinding for occasional re-sharpening.

2. Coarse: Coarse grinding only for very blunt knives as a preliminary grind.

3. Ceramic: For daily honing or fine polishing of the blade.

I give the knife sharpener 9 out of 10.

The knife holder is a universal holder in which the knives just fit, but you have to be very careful when taking them out. I personally don't like it.

Paid with PayPal and received 3 days later! A super sharp and 67 layer Nakiri knife. Extremely suitable for cutting cabbage or onions. You don't really cut at all, you just push the blade through the vegetables! The knife is also very nice to look at.

Yes, I really like the damask pocket knife, a wonderful idea to make a folding knife like this... it's more of a sliding folding knife... now I always carry it with me, for all activities... a collector's item, a unique piece in my collection... it's currently my favorite folding knife... very nice...
